Excuse me while I gloat but it's fun to say I told you so.

Americans are surprised to learn that President-elect Obama's choice to be his global warming Czar, one Carol Browner, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change, according to the Washington Times.

A Global Warming militant a socialist? How can that be? Well, it can be because the whole purpose of the AGW scam is nothing less that a covert movement to create a world socialist order.

The fact that the woman Barack Obama chose to oversee the effort to combat the global warming fantasy appears to be a believer in the socialist doctrine should come as no surprise - I warned that the hidden motivation of whole climate change scam is the creation world socialist order 12 years ago. Nobody listened.

In my 1997 Wednesday on the Web series on the global warming hoax The Iceman Cometh - I wrote the following: ''behind all the rhetoric about global warming and mankind's culpability for this impending disaster is a shrewdly planned campaign to inflict a lot of socialistic restrictions on our cherished freedoms. Environmentalism, in short, is the last refuge of socialism. It is no accident that one of those in the forefront of the global warming alarmists is one Michael Gorbachev, an unrepentant socialist who appears to believe if you can't lick 'em one way, find another. Among his cohorts are the governing elites of the socialist European nations... “The debate over global warming is the most crucial Americans have faced since the Cold War ended with the demise of what now appears to have been the first phase in the ongoing attempt to build a world socialist order. That attempt was brutal and overt -- the Communists made no secret about their plans to bury us, by force if necessary.

"The latest power grab by the left is far more subtle -- and covert. And it must be met with the same vigor that energized America in its battle with world communism because if those promoting the global warming panic prevail, the outcome will be much the same as it would have been had we lost the Cold War. Only the commissars will differ. It will be the Gores instead of the Gorbachevs."

In a later column I quoted Britain's Professor David Bellamy as writing in Britain's Daily Mail that "As a result of their ignorance, the world's economy may be about to divert billions, nay trillions of pounds, dollars and rubles into solving a problem that actually doesn't exist. The waste of economic resources is incalculable and tragic. The global warming theory prevails principally because it gives the promoters of this classic example of junk science an opportunity to impose all sorts of restrictions on human activity that will help them accomplish their real goal: a global socialist government."

Again, nobody listened. Perhaps they will now, thanks to comrade Carol Browner.

In my eight-part 1997 series I also showed how and why we have come to the end of the present interglacial period and I warned that the Iceman indeed is knocking on our door. Nobody listened.

I asked then "Cooling? Global refrigeration instead of Global barbecuing? You bet. And there's a heck of a lot more solid scientific evidence that what the world is facing is the onset of a new ice age than there is behind the very fragile global warming theory. Up until the mid-Seventies there was general agreement among researchers, who studied such arcane signs of the far distant past as sedimentary deposits on the ocean floor, that sooner or later a new ice age was in the cards for this planet." Now comes Gregory F. Fegel writing in Pravda ru that we are on the brink of a new ice age, a revelation that has shocked many Americans but one that I explained 12 years ago in my series The Icemen Cometh.

According to Fegal "The earth is now on the brink of entering another Ice Age, according to a large and compelling body of evidence from within the field of climate science. Many sources of data which provide our knowledge base of long-term climate change indicate that the warm, twelve thousand year-long Holocene period will rather soon be coming to an end, and then the earth will return to Ice Age conditions for the next 100,000 years."

Take heed: the final 20 years before the onset of the glaciation process is a period of incredible natural disasters. We are in that period now. Be prepared. The Iceman Cometh.

Now the cats are at last out of the bag. Will anybody listen?
